Come along as we share our lab notes on the best methods to remove spent wax to create a clean vessel for your candle refills.
FREEZER METHOD
- Place cooled candle into the freezer for two hours
- The remaining wax will form a puck you can remove from the bottom
- Scrape any left over wax from the sides
- Clean with warm, soapy water
BOILING WATER METHOD
- Fill candle vessel with boiling water
- Stir and let sit until the left over wax forms together and rises to the top
- Scrape any left over wax from the sides
- Clean with warm, soapy water
